Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. Written in plain English — please contact us if anything is unclear.

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Pristine Water Systems Sunshine Coast (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information provided through this website and during the delivery of our water tank cleaning, filtration, UV sterilisation, BioCleanse™ pipework treatment, water testing and servicing work.

Pristine Water Systems Sunshine Coast is a licensed franchise of Pristine Water Systems operating in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland area. Our office is located at Unit 1/37 Gateway Drive, Noosaville QLD 4566.

2. What personal information we collect

We collect only the information we need to respond to enquiries and deliver our services, which may include:

  • Your name, phone number and email address (via web forms or when you call us).
  • Your property address and suburb (so we can quote and service the correct site).
  • Basic information about your water system — water source, tank size, existing filtration or UV, and the concerns you have.
  • Photos or notes taken during on-site inspections and services.
  • Water testing results issued by AWARE where you have engaged us to arrange testing.
  • Records of quotes, invoices and payments.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (health, racial, religious or political) and ask that you do not send it to us.

3. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your enquiry, quote request or booking.
  • Schedule and deliver inspections, tank cleaning, filtration, UV, BioCleanse™ or water testing services.
  • Send appointment confirmations, service reports and follow-up reminders.
  • Issue quotes, invoices and receipts.
  • Improve our website content, services and internal training.
  • Comply with our legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

4. Cookies, analytics and website data

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember basic preferences and to measure usage patterns (for example: pages visited, referral source, device type). This information is aggregated and does not, on its own, identify you.

You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may reduce some site functionality. If we deploy specific tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager or Meta Pixel in production, this section will be expanded to name them and link to their respective privacy policies.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with parties who help us deliver the service you have asked for, including:

  • Pristine Water Systems (our franchisor) — for national reporting, warranty support and technical assistance.
  • AWARE — our independent laboratory testing partner, where you have asked us to arrange testing.
  • Payment processors and accounting providers — solely to process invoices and payments.
  • Regulatory or law enforcement authorities — where required by law.

We require these parties to keep your information confidential and use it only for the stated purpose.

6. How we store and protect information

We keep personal information in secure electronic systems with access limited to staff who need it, and in locked physical storage where hard copies exist. We take reasonable steps to protect the information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access — but no system is ever perfectly secure.

The retention period for customer records, service records and testing history is aligned with our Queensland record-keeping and tax obligations. Records held longer than needed for these purposes are securely destroyed.

7. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct any inaccurate or out-of-date information.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
  • Withdraw consent for marketing contact (we send only service-related messages by default).
  • Make a complaint if you believe we have mishandled your information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9.

8. Children

Our services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
