How we select PWS Preferred Property Partners.
Selected, not simply listed. The principles PWS uses when reviewing and approving a Preferred Property Partner.
Selected, not simply listed.
PWS aims to work with proven specialists who understand the particular needs of rural and private-water properties. Where practical, we select only one preferred provider per category or geographical service area.
- 1
Eligibility
A Preferred Partner should operate a legitimate, established business providing a service relevant to rural, acreage, rainwater, bore-water or private-water properties on the Sunshine Coast; demonstrate suitable experience; communicate professionally; work cooperatively with other trades; and hold appropriate licences and insurance for their trade.
- 2
Licensing & insurance
Where applicable, we confirm contractor/trade licences, public liability, professional indemnity where relevant, workers' compensation or equivalent statutory coverage, and any specialist certifications required for the work performed.
- 3
Rural & private-water experience
We give preference to businesses experienced with acreage, rural homes, rainwater tanks, bore water, pumps, private water infrastructure, septic systems, and rural plumbing / electrical / property systems.
- 4
Service-area coverage
We record broad service regions and specific suburbs each partner covers. Partners are only surfaced against the areas they genuinely service. We may select different preferred partners for different geographical areas within the Sunshine Coast where practical.
- 5
Customer reputation
We consider Google reviews, direct customer feedback, PWS referral feedback, communication quality, responsiveness, punctuality, work quality and professional behaviour. A single negative review does not automatically disqualify a business — we look at the pattern and seriousness.
- 6
Non-compete boundaries
Preferred Partners are chosen to complement PWS rather than directly compete with our core services. Our protected core services include water tank cleaning, whole-of-house filtration, UV water treatment, BioCleanse pipework disinfection and water testing (through AWARE Water Testing). We do not automatically reject trades that perform incidental associated work.
- 7
Annual reviews
Every preferred partner is reviewed at least once every 12 months, and sooner if there is a serious complaint, licence or insurance issue, ownership change, significant service-area change, reputation deterioration or a conflict with a PWS core service.
- 8
Suspension & removal
PWS may suspend or remove a partner from the network at any time based on our assessment. Suspended or removed partners are not displayed publicly and are removed from the sitemap.
- 9
Referral independence
PWS Preferred Partner status is a recommendation, not an endorsement of any particular quote or scope of work. Customers engage each contractor independently and should confirm current licences, insurance, pricing, availability and scope of work before proceeding.
